Ingredients
  1. 4cups (≈960gestimated from: Soup, chicken broth, low sodium, canned [cup]) Chicken Broth, Low Sodium
  2. 1clove (≈3gestimated from: Garlic, raw [clove]) Garlic minced
  3. 1cup (≈170gestimated from: Cereals, corn grits, yellow, regular and quick, enriched, dry [cup]) Grits, Old-fashioned
  4. 4oz (113.4goz → g) Cheddar Cheese, Extra Sharp shredded
  5. 4tbsp (≈56.8gestimated from: Butter, without salt [tbsp]) Butter, Unsalted
  6. 2tbsp (≈30gestimated from: Cream, fluid, heavy whipping [tbsp]) Heavy Cream
Steps
  1. 1 In a medium saucepan, bring the chicken broth to a boil. Add the garlic and slowly stir in the grits. Reduce the heat to moderately low and cook, stirring frequently, until the grits are tender, 20 minutes.
  2. 2 Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the cheese, butter and cream. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
